Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has admitted that the club are still waiting for a resolution on one of their main transfer targets.

Barcelona attacker Pedro has been tipped to make a switch to the Premier League with Manchester United this summer.

However, Barca are understood to have paused the proposed transfer, after star forward Neymar came down with mumps over the past week.

Van Gaal has now insisted that United are interested in the Spain international, and are ready to play the waiting game to land the player's services.

Pedro is expected to decide on his next move before the closure of the summer transfer window.
