It had been earlier reported that the player had agreed personal terms, and only a transfer sum had to be agreed between both clubs to finalize the switch.

However, The Guardian claims that Pedro may have had a change in thought over a move to Old Trafford due to Louis van Gaal's managerial style.

It is added that the player is close friends with United's Victor Valdes, and he isn't happy over the Dutchman's treatment on the goalkeeper.
