Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is considering the option of handing in a transfer request in a bid to push through his move to Real Madrid.

The Spain international had made up his mind to join the Bernabeu giants at the end of last season.

However, United have been reluctant to reduce on their &pound25m asking price, and this had hindered the player's proposed move to Los Blancos.

According to El Confidencial, De Gea will look to speed up his exit from Old Trafford by handing in a transfer request in the coming days.

United boss Louis van Gaal has recently hinted that the Spaniard would play not part for the club until his future is resolved.
