Besiktas turn to Obi Mikel

Mikel attracts Besiktas interest

Besiktas turn to Obi Mikel

27 August 2015 - 06:03

Turkish side Besiktas will look to land the signature of Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel after they failed to get a deal done for Liverpool's Lucas Leiva.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • The Brazilian international had been tipped to make his way to Turkey, but Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers made a U-turn and opted to keep hold of the midfielder.

A report from The Mail now claims that out-of-favour Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has become Besiktas' top target with the transfer window closing next week.

Mikel has been at Chelsea since 2006.
