The 24-year-old has been associated with a move to the Citizens throughout the transfer window.

BBC Sport now confirms that the talented playmaker will link up with the former Premier League champions on a six-year deal for a record sum of around £52m.

De Bruyne is City's fourth signing of the transfer window following the arrivals of Fabian Delph, Raheem Sterling and Nicolas Otamendi.
