The Blues have shown keen desire to strengthen their backline having already recruited the likes of Baba Rahman and Papy Djilobodji.

Hector has been a regular for the Royals in the Championship, and Sky Sports News reports that Jose Mourinho's side are closing in on a &pound4m deal for the Jamaica international.

The 23-year-old made 41 league appearances for the Royals last term.
