Sunderland never keen on Moussa Sow

04 September 2015 - 05:58

Sunderland were never interested in a summer deal for Senegalese striker Moussa Sow, according to reports.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • The 29-year-old had claimed that the Black Cats were interested in securing his services in the summer.

However, The Sunderland Echo cites that sporting director Lee Congerton had no desire to bring in Sow, and instead recruited Fabio Borini from Liverpool.

Sow eventually agreed to join Emirati side Al Ahli from Fenerbahce in the transfer window.
