Steven Gerrard is unlikely to make a loan switch back to Liverpool in January, according to reports.

The legendary midfielder left the Reds for Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy over the summer.

However, there were claims that the veteran midfielder could seek a temporary move back to his beloved club during the off-season in the United States.

The Telegraph now understands that the former England international will decide against any kind of move back to Merseyside.

Gerrard had racked over 700 appearances for Liverpool in his playing career.
