West Ham United have confirmed that midfielder Morgan Amalfitano has left the club by mutual consent.
The 30-year-old joined the Hammers from Marseille last summer, following an impressive loan stint with West Bromwich Albion in the 2013/14 campaign.
Amalfitano was influential in the club's play for much of the season, and earned a new deal in March.
However, he has since then trained with the second string side following an outburst with manager Slaven Bilic during the club's European campaign.
It has now been reported that the French midfielder has cut ties with the East London side, and could seek a possible return to the Baggies in the New Year.
Amalfitano scored three goals in 32 games for the Hammers.
