Arsenal are understood to made Marseille's Michy Batshuayi their main transfer target for January.
The Belgian international was heavily associated with a switch to the Emirates during his time at Standard Liege.
He has since then moved on to Marseille where he has attracted attention from a whole host of Premier League clubs.
According to Mercato365, the 22-year-old is the Gunners' leading target ahead of Celta Vigo's Nolito for the winter transfer window.
It is added that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keen on adding more firepower upfront with Olivier Giroud failing to impress in the initial stages of the league campaign.
Batshuayi has notched six league goals for Marseille this term.
