Arsenal to offload talented attacker in January

Arsenal are expected to allow the sale of out-of-favour forward Joel Campbell in the January transfer window.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • The Costa Rican international put up a great show during the World Cup finals in Brazil last year, and many expected him to be a permanent fixture in the Gunners setup.

However, he failed to showcase his national form at club level, and was shipped out on loan to Villareal during the second half of the previous campaign.

The 23-year-old has since then been on the fringes of the first-team with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger offering him game-time exclusively in the cup games.

Reports now reveal that the Campbell could be sold for a bargain price of just £1.6m in the New Year with interest high from several clubs in Turkey.

Campbell scored his first goal since the World Cup as his country beat the United States by a 1-0 margin in an international friendly.
