Liverpool will reportedly launch a bid for Fiorentina midfielder Mario Suarez when the transfer window reopens in January.
The Spaniard joined the Serie A side from Atletico Madrid over the summer, and has since then struggled to make himself a regular in the starting setup.
According to The Liverpool Echo, the 28-year-old has made up mind to make a switch elsewhere with manager Paulo Sousa unlikely to offer him a long-run in the first-team.
The report adds that the Reds will most likely launch a winter bid for the midfield enforcer, who has also caught the attention of Spanish side Sevilla.
Suarez has made just three league starts for La Viola this term.
