Manchester United have reportedly contacted the agent of Real Madrid star James Rodriguez amidst rumours that he is unhappy at the Bernabeu.
The Colombian international is believed to have taken a swipe at Los Blancos boss Rafael Benitez shortly after scoring in his country's 1-1 draw at Chile.
According to Spanish source Fichajes, the 24-year-old is understood to be considering his future at Real following Benitez's reluctance to offer him first-team football following his return from a thigh injury.
It is added that th Red Devils have made contact with super agent Jorge Mendes, and have disclosed their desire to sign the talented attacker.
James joined Real from AS Monaco following his impressive showing at the World Cup last year.
