Javier Hernandez has revealed as to why he left Manchester United for Bayer Leverkusen.
The Mexico international ended his five-year association at Old Trafford by sealing a three-year contract at Bayer Leverkusen in the summer.
Since then, the 27-year-old has been in sensational form for the Bundesliga outfit, and this has led to questions marks over Louis van Gaal's handling of the player.
Hernandez has now lifted the lid on his exit by stating that he had just one percent chance of playing upfront under Van Gaal.
“I spoke with Van Gaal and he said that I only had a 1 percent chance of playing in my position, so I headed to Bayer," he told Movistar+.
The talented striker has netted 18 goals in 19 outings for Leverkusen this term.
