Manchester United are considering the option of recruiting Jose Mourinho as their next manager.
Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal is currently under immense pressure to perform following a run of five games without a win in all competitions.
According to The Sun, United's hierarchy have held initial negotiations with Mourinho, who is said to be the ideal candidate to replace the Dutchman in the near future.
It is added that Van Gaal has two more games against Stoke City and Chelsea to turn things around at Old Trafford.
United are currently fifth in the Premier League with 29 points.
