Arsenal are reportedly planning an offer for Barcelona's utility midfielder Sergi Roberto.
The 23-year-old had been tipped to make way from the Catalan giants in the summer having been deemed surplus to requirements.
However, he opted to stay put at Camp Nou, and has since then found himself playing a regular role at right-back under Luis Enrique.
According to Catalan daily Sport, the Gunners are interested in signing up the talented youngster, who is well versed at playing in the middle of the park.
It is added that the club are willing to pay a fee of around £4,5m to land the player's services in the New Year.
Roberto has made 20 appearances in all competitions for Barca this term.
