The Scotland international has been tipped to join the Canaries in the New Year after the Toffees agreed on a &pound7m fee for his transfer.

However, according to The Times, manager Martinez will delay the player's transfer to Carrow Road with the club having to play five games in the next fornight.

Naismith has struggled to secure a regular starting role at Goodison Park this season with the likes of Gerard Deulofeu and Arouna Kone preferred ahead of him in the pecking order.
