Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has insisted that the club are not interested in signing Corinthians striker Alexandre Pato.
Recent speculation had claimed that the Reds had agreed on a £11m fee to bring the Brazil international to the Premier League.
However, Klopp has dismissed the claims by citing that the media should forget the prospect of seeing the former AC Milan star at Anfield this month.
"My private advice to you is don't follow the Pato path any longer." he told reporters during Monday's press conference.
The Reds are currently eighth in the league standings with 30 points.
