Arsenal are said to have made a formal offer for highly-rated Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.

The 23-year-old joined Italian side Inter Milan on a one-and-a-half-year loan deal last January.

Since then, the Croatian international has put up a number of stellar appearances for the San Siro side, thus leading to claims he may seal a permanent move to the club.

Premium Sport understands that the Nerazzurri have yet to express their desire over a permanent move, and the Gunners have stepped up their interest with a &pound12m offer.

It is added that Zagreb are likely to command a higher fee as the midfielder has reached great heights in recent years.

Brozovic has scored four goals in 31 games for Inter till date.
