Man City monitoring Fausto Grillo

Velez Sarsfield's young defender Fausto Grillo is being monitored by Manchester City's club scouts. The Argentine defender - aged 22 - has impressed this past season for his home team.

Grillo's good form caught the eye of Man City's scouting network in recent months and the Citizens are hopeful that the Argentine can join this month and learn from the likes of Nicolas Otamendi and Martin Demichelis. 

Grillo will be allowed to move to the Premier League for a fee of around $1.775 million.
