West Ham United are reportedly close to finalizing a short-term loan deal for Fenerbahce striker Emmanuel Emenike.

    According to The Telegraph, the Hammers have followed up the signing of Sam Byram by lodging a temporary move for Emenike.

    It is added that the 28-year-old would welcome the prospect of joining the East London side as he seeks to test himself in the Premier League.

    Emenike has amassed nine goals in all competitions for Al Ain this term.

    Slaven Bilic's side host Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday.
