Jose Mourinho has been tipped to take over the managerial role at Manchester United at the end of the season. The Portuguese head coach is currently on the lookout for a new job following his dismissal from Chelsea last December.
Sky Sport Italia suggests that the Special One could be in line for a Premier League return next season with United considering the position of Louis van Gaal.
It is added that the 52-year-old has held initial talks with the Red Devils and would be willing to go head-to-head with his long-time rival Pep Guardiola, who will be managing Manchester City.
United are currently fifth in the league standings, five points adrift of fourth-placed Arsenal.
