However, The Sun suggests that the Citizens are keeping a close eye on the player's proceedings and could be tempted to make a bid of their own for his signature.

Mane has been a key performer for the Saints since his move from Red Bull Salzburg 18 months ago.

Southampton are expected to demand a fee of around £25m for the player's sale.
