Arsenal want Fabricio

Arsenal want Fabricio

14 January 2008 - 22:23

Arsenal are chasing the signature of young Deportivo goalkeeper Fabricio who Arsene Wenger hopes will come to the Gunners and learn his trade under fellow countryman Manuel Almunia.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • The 20-year-old shot-stopper is regarded as one of Spain’s brightest talents, and reports suggest that Gunners scout Sergio Cagigao has been following the youngster’s progress.

Fabricio, who has represented Spain U20s, has conceded just seven goals in 19 appearances for Depor B so far this campaign.

A Deportivo club statement read: “It is not a surprise [that there is interest] because other clubs are also following the youngster, but we are calm about the situation.”
