Manchester City look set to offer a new contract to French full-back Bacary Sagna following his impressive showing this season. The 32-year-old joined the Citizens from Arsenal on a free transfer last season.

  • According to The Mail, the experienced right-back has earned plaudits from the club's hierarchy though his excellent display in the absence of Pablo Zabaleta.

    It is also known that the club will seek to extend the player's current deal, which is due to expire in the summer of 2017.

    The France international has featured in 22 of City's 25 Premier League games this season.
