Manchester are hot on the trail of Valencia midfielder Andre Gomes, a report from The Mirror claims. The Portugal international had been associated with a switch to the Premier League during his time at former club Benfica.
According to The Mirror, United are eager to land the young midfielder, who has been one of the bright spots in what has been a dismal season for Los Che.
The report adds that the Mancunian giants would be willing to match Gomes' release clause of £20m after he revealed his desire to make a move to Old Trafford.
The 22-year-old has made 25 outings for the Spanish outfit following his return from a thigh injury earlier in the season.
Gomes' existing deal at Los Che is due to expire in the summer of 2020.
