Belgian international Christian Benteke has revealed his frustration at not earning sufficient playing time at Liverpool.
The 25-year-old joined the Reds from Aston Villa last summer with a view to playing an influential role in the starting line-up.
However, he has since then struggled to make any notable impact at the Merseyside outfit, and currently finds himself surplus to requirements under manager Jurgen Klopp.
Benteke has now admitted that he is unsure where his future stands with Klopp at the helm.
“Some team-mates have said that I was lucky with the arrival of Klopp, because I certainly would play," he told Voetbalmagazine.
“When your coach says he wanted to take you to Dortmund and a little later you sit at the same club and he ignores you, it is hard to understand.
“I do not understand why people say that (I cannot fit in at Liverpool)."
Benteke has made just 12 league starts for the Reds this season.
