Spanish giants Atletico Madrid have joined the likes of Juventus and West Ham United in the race to land Liverpool striker Christian Benteke. The Belgian international joined the Reds from Aston Villa last summer.
Benteke started off the campaign in fine fashion and many predicted that he could play a useful role in the club's charge for the league title.
However, he has since then struggled to live up to his promise, and currently finds himself surplus to requirements under Jurgen Klopp.
According to The Mirror, Atleti are the latest side to express interest in signing the 25-year-old, who is said to be considering his future at Anfield.
Diego Simeone's side are also keen on re-signing former player and Chelsea hitman Diego Costa this summer.
Atleti are currently second in La Liga, nine points adrift of leaders Barcelona.
