Incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is eager to make Everton's John Stones his first signing at Stamford Bridge. The England international had been the subject of multiple bids from the Blues last summer, but the Toffees were not keen on his sale.
Since then, Stones has had an average season with the Toffees struggling to keep clean sheets in the Premier League.
According to The Mirror, the Blues are set to reignite their interest in the England international after Conte listed the player as his top target for the summer transfer window.
However, they are likely to face competition from Manchester City, who are set to have an overhaul of their backline during the off-season.
Everton currently rate Stones at around £40m.
