Manchester United had reportedly sent their scouts to keep a close watch on highly-rated Anderlecht midfielder Youri Tielemans. The 18-year-old is regarded as one of the best youth prospects to evolve from the Belgian league.
Tielemans has caught the eye of several English clubs through his impressive showing in the central midfield position.
According to The Sun, United scouts were in attendance to watch the young prodigy showcase his skills against Gent in midweek.
Louis van Gaal's side have shown their intent to focus on youth this season with the likes of Marcus Rashford, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Timothy Fosu-Mensah earning their roles in the first-team.
United are currently fifth in the league standings, two points adrift of the Champions League places.
