AC Milan are open to the prospect of signing Liverpool flop Mario Balotelli on a permanent contract. The Italy international joined the Rossoneri on loan last August after he was deemed surplus to requirements at Anfield.
Balotelli has since struggled to make a solid mark at the Milan giants, and this led to the suggestions that he could be sold to a new club on his return to Merseyside.
However, The Sun says Rossoneri officials are eager to discuss an extension for the 25-year-old despite his lack of success at San Siro.
It is added that the club would ideally prefer a second loan term before finalizing a permanent deal for the player.
Balotelli has netted a solitary league goal for Milan this season.
