Villareal are eager to bring Spanish midfielder Santi Cazorla to El Madrigal for a third term after they secured Champions League football. The 31-year-old has had a frustrating campaign with Arsenal after he suffered a knee injury during the first-half of the season.
Cazorla joined the Gunners from La Liga side Malaga in 2012, and has since then played an influential role in the club's midfield.
However, the lack of league success is said to have brought frustration to the Spaniard, who has given his all for the Gunners in recent seasons.
Spanish sources suggest that former club Villareal are eager to re-sign the experienced campaigner after they earned themselves a spot in next season's Champions League.
Cazorla made 162 appearances during his previous stint at Villareal.
