Ranieri: more signings

Ranieri: more signings

19 January 2008 - 01:57

Juventus manager Claudio Ranieri has admitted his club need to make more signings if they are to keep up the pace with league leaders Inter Milan and second place Roma.

  • Chelsea to make approach for Morgan Rogers?
  • Chelsea star determined to join Barcelona?
  • “One thing is certain – before I signed a contract here I wanted to know that the project had a winning future. I can assure you that we will be bringing in a world-class player,” the former Chelsea and Valencia boss told Football Italia.

“John Elkann has promised to spend and it’s good to know that. Now it’s up to us to use the money at our disposal wisely."

These declarations come just a few days after President Giovanni Gigli confirmed that the club won't spend any money this winter.

Juventus have been linked with Liverpool Malian midfielder Mohamed Sissoko due to the several injuries that hit this department.
