Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu has missed training in the lead up to the Premier League clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The Gunners are currently top of the standings with 83 points, one ahead of Manchester United, who have a game in hand at the moment.

Hence, their title credentials are no longer in their hands, but they need to win their remaining two fixtures to give themselves an opportunity.

Ahead of the Old Trafford trip, Arsenal may have suffered a setback with Tomiyasu missing from today's open training ground session.

Bukayo Saka was also spotted training with heavy strapping on his leg, but he is expected to be available against the Red Devils on Sunday.

Arsenal have a dreadful record at Old Trafford with just one league win in 17 years, but they will go into Sunday's game as slight favourites.

The Gunners will be aiming to do the double over the Red Devils for the first time since the 2006/07 campaign under manager Arsene Wenger.
