Moroccan international Mehdi Benatia is eager to rejoin Roma and end his nightmare spell at Bayern Munich.The 29-year-old has been tipped to leave the Allianz Arena after he failed to cement a regular starting spot.
Benatia joined the Bavarian giants from the Giallorossi in 2014 following a successful campaign in the Serie A.
However, he has since endured a difficult spell with manager Pep Guardiola reluctant to offer him sufficient first-team opportunities.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the centre-back is eager to make a switch back to Roma after Bayern's recent approach to sign Borussia Dortmund skipper Mats Hummels.
It is added that Benatia would have to take a sufficient pay-cut if he is to realise his comeback with the Italian outfit.
Premier League giants Arsenal have also been credited with interest for the player.
