Adebayor confirms Crystal Palace exit

Togo international Emmanuel Adebayor has revealed that he will leave Crystal Palace after this weekend's FA Cup final against Manchester United.

  • The 32-year-old joined the Eagles on a six-month contract during the winter transfer window. He has since struggled to make amends in the club's shirt, and looks set to pursue a fresh move at the end of the season.

"I've had six beautiful months with Palace. I'd love to have played more, but that's football," he told reporters.

"I will always wish this club well. It doesn't matter if I start the Manchester United game on the bench or the gaffer decides to put me in the stands. At the end of the day we want to win it. This club wants to win it."

Adebayor has never won the FA Cup despite featuring for the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Arsenal over his career.
