The Red Devils are on the search for a new enforcer with Michael Carrick set to leave Old Trafford at the expiry of his contract next month.

According to The Sun, the Mancunian giants could get their hands on Krychowiak this summer, with the Gunners having dropped interest in the player's services.

Arsene Wenger's side are said to have wrapped up a deal for Borussia Monchengladbach star Granit Xhaka, and it is only left for a formal announcement to be made.

Krychowiak is expected to play a crucial role for his national side in this summer's European championships.
