Keane happy with 100 feat

19 January 2008 - 22:08

Robbie Keane has revealed his genuine delight at bagging his 100th goal for Tottenham as Spurs defeated Sunderland 2-0 at White Hart Lane. The Irish international has become only the 3rd player at Tottenham to have achieved the milestone.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • His goal saw him becoming only the third player in the last 30 years, after Glenn Hoddle and Teddy Sheringham, to have scored 100 goals or more for the club.

“It was a great feeling to have scored 100 goals. I’m very pleased. It’s also fantastic to be associated with the other great players who’ve done it as well,” Keane told BBC Sport after the match.

“But the more pleasing fact is that my goal helped Tottenham clinch all three points.

“I’m pleased to have it [100th goal] out of my way now. All I want to concentrate on is to score more goals for the club and play regularly for the rest of the season.”
