Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has confirmed an approach from Arsenal for English striker Jamie Vardy. The 29-year-old netted 24 goals in the Premier League as the Foxes lifted their first-ever league title last season.
Recent speculation claimed the Gunners could be closing in on a move for Vardy after they triggered the £20m release clause in his contract.
However, the reports now seem to be true after Ranieri revealed that one of his star players is in talks over a sensational move away from the King Power Stadum.
"It's all true," he was quoted as saying on Gazzetta dello Sport.
Arsene Wenger's side are likely to seal the transfer agreement over the weekend with England boss Roy Hodgson having banned his players from holding discussions while on Euro 2016 duty in France.
