David de Gea to remain at Man Utd

06 June 2016 - 05:39

David de Gea will stay put at Manchester United after Real Madrid dropped interest in his services. The 25-year-old came close to joining Los Blancos last summer before a delay in paperwork pulled the plug on the deal.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • The Spaniard has since inked a four-year extension at Old Trafford showing his commitment to his present employers.

Recent speculation suggested the player could be sold to Real over the summer before loaning him back to United for the 2016/17 season.

However, according to The Sun, the Mancunian giants will have a sense of relief with Zinedine Zidane's side not in a hurry to move in for a new shot-stopper in the transfer window.

De Gea has recently revealed his desire to win more titles under new boss Jose Mourinho.
