Arsenal defender Calum Chambers is close to sealing a season-long loan move to Watford. The England international joined the Gunners from Southampton in 2014.
Chambers made 35 appearances in his debut campaign under Arsene Wenger, and there were signs that he could be the ideal fit for the centre-back position alongside Laurent Koscielny.
However, he struggled to show similar adaptability in his second year, and was often found playing a role from the substitutes' bench.
The Mail says the Hornets have managed to negotiate a temporary deal for the Englishman, and a move is likely to go through when the transfer window reopens next month.
The 21-year-old made just 12 league outings for the Gunners during the 2015/16 campaign.
