Sevilla boss Unai Emery on the verge of PSG appointment

08 June 2016 - 08:57

Rumours in spain are circulating that Sevilla boss Unai Emery is close to being appointed as the new manager of French giants Paris Saint-Germain.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • The three times Europa League winner is being lined up to replace Laurent Blanc as manager of the Paris club despite Blanc signing a new contract a few months ago.

Hondarribia born Emery is well respected in Europe after leading Sevilla to three consecutive Europa League victories and is said to be on the French treble winners radar as they are keen to make more of an impression in the Champions League and will pay Emery’s bargin €2million release clause to install the former CD Toledo midfielder as their new leader.

Emery, who was considered for several high-profiles Serie A jobs last summer, has already travelled to the French capital to seal an agreement with the Parc des Princes club ahead of a summer move to France.

The 44-year-old Spaniard has previously managed Valencia, Spartak Moscow and Almería, and was heavily-linked with Premier League Everton and Southampton in recent days, was on Real Madrid’s radar had they lost the Champions League final against neighbours Atletico and moved to replace Zinedine Zidane.
