Reds ready fresh bid for Pjaca

Liverpool move for Marko Pjaca

26 June 2016 - 10:57

Liverpool have began negotiations to bring midfielder Marko Pjaca from Dinamo Zagreb this summer. The 21-year-old impressed during Croatia's win over Spain at the European championships in France.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts
  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players

  • Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport says the Reds are set to table a fresh offer for Pjaca after they were swiftly rebuffed in their initial £12m approach.

Jurgen Klopp's side face stiff competition from AC Milan, who are thought to have already made contact with the player's representative.

The youngster appeared in 42 games for Zagreb last season, netting 12 goals in the process.

Pjaca came on as an extra-time substitute as Croatia lost out to Portugal by a single goal in the Euro 2016 round of 16 clash on Saturday.
