Tottenham Hotspur are the latest club to be interested in Newcastle United midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum. The Dutchman has been tipped to leave the Magpies over the summer after they were relegated to the Championship.
Wijnaldum joined the Tyneside outfit from PSV Eindhoven last summer, and produced a number of memorable performances, but this was not enough to keep the club in the top flight.
The 25-year-old has earlier informed coach Rafael Benitez of his desire to seek a fresh challenge with the likes of Roma and Everton vying for his signature.
According to The Telegraph, Spurs have joined the pursuit for the 25-year-old, who has four years left on his existing deal.
The Magpies currently rate their asset at £25m, which is £10m more than they paid to PSV last year.
The talented attacker netted 11 league goals during an impressive debut season in the top flight.
