Atletico Madrid are seemingly confident of landing Diego Costa with Chelsea closing in on the services of Romelu Lukaku. The Spaniard joined the Blues from Atleti in 2014.
Costa had a great start to his debut season for the Blues and this played a key role in their Premier League triumph.
However, his second term proved to be a mixed one with former boss Jose Mourinho falling casualty for his poor showing in the first half of the campaign.
The 27-year-old has been strongly linked with a return to Atleti since the start of May, and according to The Sun, a £40m deal could be finalized for his transfer in the coming days.
Antonio Conte's side are currently preparing a second bid for Lukaku after their initial £57m offer was rebuffed by Everton.
Costa has netted 37 goals in 78 outings for the West London giants till date.
