Everton submit final offer for Axel Witsel

Everton have made a final bid for Belgium international Axel Witsel yesterday, amidst interest from Italian giants Juventus. Witsel currently plays for Russian side Zenit St Petersburg but has told his agent he wants to move elsewhere.

Everton have made a final 32.6 million GBP offer for the Belgian star and are confident that should be enough money to guarantee Witsel's arrival at Goodison Park.

However, Zenit expect Juventus to sell Paul Pogba to Manchester United and are currently waiting to find out if the Italian side will make a move to sign Axel as a replacement.

Juventus will receive approximately 100 million euros for Pogba and are believed to be ready to spend 48 million euros to complete a move for Witsel as a replacement.

Newly appointed Toffees manager Ronald Koeman has been given a hefty transfer budget for the upcoming campaign and will spend the majority of it on Witsel, if the player agrees to move to England.
