Arsenal have deployed their scouts to monitor Brazilian starlet Leo Pereira. According to reports, the Gunners are ready to spend up to $10 million to land the Atletico Paranaense centre back.
With Arsenal missing Per Mertesacker for the beginning of the start of the new campaign, Gunners manager Arsene Wenger wants to ensure that he has enough strength in depth in his defensive setup and will bring in Leo Pereira to shore up his side.
Pereira, who plays for Brazil's under-20 side, has been tracked by many European sides but it is reportedly Arsenal who will win the race to sign the player.
Pereira holds dual nationality and thus will not require a work permit to play in the Premier League.
