Spain international Fernando Llorente has snubbed advances from Swansea City to remain at Sevilla next season. The Swans are actively pursuing a new striker after Batefimbi Gomis joined Marseille on a season-long loan.
Llorente, 31, had been tipped to make a move to the Swans last week with sources suggesting that the player had agreed terms with the Welsh outfit.
However, the marksman has since had a change of mind, and has decided to stay put with the Europa League champions.
"Fernando will continue at Sevilla. We have decided not to listen to other offers," his agent Chus Llorente told Marca.
"Sevilla is a team of champions, and Fernando wants to succeed in it. He also believes it has the necessary conditions for a new project."
Francesco Guidolin's side could be bracing themselves for a busy month in the transfer window with West Ham United hot on the trail of Ghanaian forward Andre Ayew.
