Swansea City agree Llorente deal

Swansea City have settled a transfer agreement with Sevilla for striker Fernando Llorente. The Spaniard has been tipped to leave the La Liga side after he struggled for playing time last season.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Agent Chus Llorente had earlier suggested that his client would remain at Sevilla amid interest from his suitors.

But, according to Sky Sport News, the Swans have finalized a deal with Sevilla, and the 31-year-old will be allowed to discuss personal terms before finalizing his move to the Liberty Stadium.

Francesco Guidolin's side are currently short in the striking department following the departures of Alberto Paloschi and Bafetimbi Gomis.

Llorente made just 19 starts for Sevilla during the previous campaign as they went on to lift the Europa League for a third successive time.
