Paul Pogba has been photographed entering Manchester United's AON Training Complex in Carrington, Greater Manchester, today, ahead of a world record move to the Red Devils.

  • The French midfielder arrived in Manchester today to complete a sensational transfer that will see him return to the club he left as a teenager in 2012.

It is thought that United have agreed an initial fee of €105 million (£89 million) with Juventus, with an additional €5 million in conditional add ons.

That figure would see Pogba become the most expensive player in the history of the game, eclipsing the £85.3 million Real Madrid paid to sign Gareth Bale from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013.

Pogba initially joined United as a 16-year-old in 2009 from Le Havre, but left the club when his contract expired in 2012, having grown frustrated at the lack of first team opportunities he was being afforded by then manager Sir Alex Ferguson, and unable to agree terms on a new contract with the club.

The youngster then joined Juventus where he became a key player straight away. Pogba won the Serie A title in each of his four seasons in Turin, and helped the Bianconeri reach the 2015 Champions League final before losing to Barcelona in Berlin.

Pogba was identified as on of new United boss José Mourinho's key transfer targets, and becomes the club's fourth signing of the transfer window.
